Extreme Makeover: Pantry Edition

We moved in our new house 3 months ago. We just threw everything on the shelves just to get it out of boxes and have access to our food. We didn't care how it looked because the pantry is off the kitchen and the door would always be closed, right!? Organizing the other rooms seemed much more important at the time. However, I reached my boiling point when (yikes!) we had a small visitor arrive (thankfully he was solo). It was a mouse. Gross. Yes, I know anyone can have a mouse no matter how clean your home is, but the very thought lit a fire under me to clean up our act in the pantry and make it as uninviting as possible for those little creatures. Before getting started, I made a run to Target, the dollar store and a few thrift stores to round up some handy dandy containers. Oh, how I love a container or basket! Here's some before/after pics...

(BEFORE) UGH!!!!!!!! MESSY!!!

First, we cleared the room out. Cleaned the shelves and walls. Hadley chose the paint color and helped
me paint. She did a great job!! Once the paint was dry, we lined the shelves and started the reorganizing process. It was a process to say the least!!
This is after we painted, but before the redo on the floor.

Yucky peel and stick linoleum before.

(AFTER) New Floor. Peel and Stick "Faux-Wood" Flooring.
This took me only about 1 1/2 hours. Easy Breezy!! What a difference!

(After) Extremely more organized! We still have to case in the exposed
water lines, but at least it looks 100% better!

Everything has a place. Still have to put labels on containers, but loving the order!

All my spices packets, cookie cutters, sprinkles, treat bags are all in separate containers.
All baking supplies grouped together. Time to break out the label maker!!
